Garrucha, Almeria

Garrucha is a picturesque seaport with an attractive working harbour, situated next to Mojacar. Garrucha is a traditional Spanish fishing village offering a huge array of bars, restaurants, coffee bars, and boutiques, along a smart palm tree lined promenade which spans the length of the town. The town dates back to the 16th century when it was founded by a group of fishermen.

Today fishing is still a major part of live in Garrucha and it's definitely worth a visit to the quayside fish market, where the fishermen auction off thier daily catch every afternoon. Garrucha is also well known for its magnificent golden sandy beaches, strecthing as far as the eye can see.
